Jack Bringardner

Teaching Professor and Director of Education Innovation, Engineering, Design, and Society.

 

Jack Bringardner is a Teaching Professor and Director of Education Innovation in the Engineering, Design, and Society Department. He teaches the first-year engineering Cornerstone Design course and Innov8x. His primary focus is developing curriculum, mentoring students, and engineering education research, particularly for project-based courses, the first-year engineering experience, and experiential learning for student professional skill development. He is the Colorado School of Mines KEEN Leader and member of the Entrepreneurial Mindset in the First Year (EMIFY) leadership team helping to promote entrepreneurial mindset in engineering education. 

 

He is active in the American Society for Engineering Education and serves as the Web Manager for the First-Year Programs Division. He was also the past webmanager for the First-Year Engineering Experience Conference. He is on the Executive Steering Committee for the Vertically Integrated Projects Consortium. Prior to working at Colorado School of Mines, he was the Assistant Dean for Academics, Directed the Introduction to Engineering and Design, and Directed Vertically Integrated Projects at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
