Teaching Associate Professor, Engineering, Design, & Society
Mirna Mattjik is a Teaching Associate Professor in the EDS Division, Cornerstone Design@Mines Program. Mirna is also faculty in the Thorson First Year Honors Program, and part of the very first teaching cohort. Equipped with a B.S. in Industrial Technology, a Master’s in Project Management & Leadership from Regis University and a Master’s in International Political Economy of Resources from Mines, Mirna’s special interests are design thinking, pedagogy in engineering education, honors scholarship, diversity and inclusion and community driven development. In the classroom, Mirna strives to encourage students’ intrinsic motivation to learn through modeling authenticity in teaching and learning.
