Carlos Goncalves Ph.D. is a Research Instructor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Adjunct Faculty at the Colorado School of Mines. His research focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence, data science, and engineering to improve healthcare outcomes, particularly in organ transplantation and wearable medical devices. With over a decade of experience in implementation science and biomedical innovation, Dr. Goncalves has led multidisciplinary projects across academia, healthcare, and industry.
His academic work emphasizes AI-driven prediction models, system integration in clinical settings, and curriculum design. He is also a dedicated mentor and educator, with a strong record of guiding students and junior researchers.
