The EDS Prototype/Create Lab is a resource for students to build, test, and document their creations. First opened in the Spring of 2014, the space houses equipment and trained student workers to support the research, design, and entrepreneurial activities of Mines students. Current capabilities include plastic 3D Printing, acrylic and wood Laser Cutting/Etching, and Electronics build stations. Additionally, tools, instruments, and audio/video equipment are available for student use and check-out. It is located adjacent to the Capstone Design@Mines Senior Design Lab (Brown WW155) and serves as an overflow environment for clean (dust-free) builds.
