Design Engineering Current Students

The Design Engineering program educates the next generation of engineering innovators, design thinkers and impact makers who will be leaders in defining and solving problems.

DE is for students who have a passion to make a positive impact on societal and environmental needs on a local, national and international scale; want a flexible degree structure, allowing them to follow their individual interests; and design engineering expertise as a foundation to pursue further academic studies or careers in law, medicine, engineering innovation, economics or policy. This site includes upcoming events, news and other information for current students in this program.

Matt Dell (BSE ’21) received the EDS Outstanding Graduating Student award along with his achievement graduating cum laude! Matt’s accomplishments will be recognized during this Winter’s awards ceremony.

Brett Wiebold (BSE ’21), our BSE train aficionado, graduated as one of our earliest individualized focus area students, along with Matt. His work customizing his focus area has paved the way for other BSE students to experience coursework in all levels including graduate studies.

Way to go graduates!
